Ann "Liddy" (Vanderveer) Monaghan died Saturday, September 1, 2018, at her daughter's home in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 96.
Born in New Brunswick to the late Abram and Georgiana (Davison) Vanderveer she had lived in South River before moving to live with her daughter in Nashville six years ago. She was a line worker for Avery Label Company in North Brunswick and the Personal Products division of Johnson and Johnson in Milltown before her retirement.
She was a member of Moose Lodge #1978 in Edison and the American Legion, Joyce Kilmer Post #25 in Milltown.
Her husband George Monaghan died in 1992. She was also predeceased by her daughter Cathy Casler and her son William Monaghan. Surviving are her daughter Diane Bennett of Tennessee; two sons – Robert Monaghan of South Carolina and George Monaghan of Florida; her sister Evelyn Gralewski of Pennsylvania; 20 grandchildren and many, many great and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at Selover Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.
