Obituary of Virginia Ford

Virginia (Fogel) Ford died Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her home in Edison. She was 94 years old.

Born in Rochester, Pennsylvania to the late William F. and Elva (Dean) Fogel she lived in Sunbury, PA before moving to Edison over 60 years ago. She was a secretary for Swift Company in Highland Park before becoming an executive secretary with Twin County Grocers in Edison where she worked for 16 years before retiring in 1996.

Mrs. Ford was a member of Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Brunswick. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, both in Edison. She was a member of the Bonhamtown Senior Citizens and had been an active member of the Metuchen/Edison YMCA. She was an avid New York Yankees fan.

Her husband Richard Ford died in 1974. Surviving are four daughters – Robin Heilmann and her husband Kevin of Edison, Michelle Moe and her husband Kenneth of Phoenix, Arizona, Kimberly Ford of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and Beth Gavigan and her husband Patrick of Wilmington, North Carolina; four grandchildren – Sarah Wilson, Nicholas Morales, Christopher Morales and his wife Avani and Coleen Martin and her husband Josh; and three great grandchildren – Maya Morales, Charlotte Martin and Callum Martin.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, October 19, 2018, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Private cremation will follow. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Kirkpatrick and New Streets, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
