Richard R. Zeck died Monday, August 19, 2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. He was 91.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, he lived in East Brunswick, Colts Neck, Florida and Georgia before returning to New Jersey. He was a mechanical engineer and production manager for Owens Illinois in Edison for 25 years, then worked at Wheaton Glass in Millville and dabbled in real estate before his retirement.
He served in the United States Navy toward the end of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion in Florida and Georgia, as well as a croquet club in Florida and Rossmoor in Monroe Township.
He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Ann (Minner) Zeck in 2008. He was also predeceased by his brother Walter Zeck; and his sister Virginia Zeck. Surviving are his daughter Roxanne Zeck of Whitehouse Station; two sons – Richard Zeck and his wife Donna of South Brunswick and Daniel Zeck and his fiancée Andrea Lucciola of Roswell, Georgia; six grandchildren - Jessica, Rebecca, Mario, Richard, Daniel and Angela; and three great grandchildren – Mario, Michael and Lucian.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Atlantic Cemetery in Colts Neck. Arrangements are under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
