John J. "Jack" Nason died Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at The Samaritan Center at Voorhees. He was 87.
Born in New Brunswick to the late John V. and Alice Mae (Stillwell) Nason, he lived in Milltown and North Brunswick before moving to Southampton in 2003. Mr. Nason was a surplus property manager at Rutgers University for 33 years before retiring in 1990. He also worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service in New Brunswick from 1958 to 1993. He was a longtime member of the Rutgers University Event Staff.
Mr. Nason was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was predeceased by his wife Doreen Frank in 2008, as well as his sister Virginia Valdata and brother William Nason. Surviving are three sons – Vincent Nason and his wife Theresa of Voorhees, Jeffrey Nason and his wife Aimee of Robbinsville and John Nason and his wife Denise of Tinton Falls; his sister Mary Singer and her husband Noel of Hamilton; and four grandchildren – Christopher, Ryan, Annie and Daniel.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick with a funeral service to be held at 5:30 PM. Private entombment will follow.
