Frederick Charles Mosie died Monday, February 24, 2020, at his home in North Brunswick. He was 95.
Born in and raised in Secaucus to the late Frederick C. and Ella (Possehl) Mosie, he lived in Bergenfield, New Mexico and Easton, Pennsylvania before moving to North Brunswick in 2015. He was a machinist for Bendix Corporation in Teterboro for 35 years before retiring in 1974.
Mr. Mosie was a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy J. (Kuhn) Mosie in 2010; and his daughter Marilyn A. Eck in 2005. Surviving are his son Ronald Mosie and his wife Linda of Loganville, Georgia; his daughter Diane McGivney and her husband Thomas of North Brunswick; his sister Anna Mae Froehner of New Jersey; five grandchildren – Jessica Mosie, Shivon Eck, Amber Eck, Trevor Eck and Sean McGivney; and three great grandchildren – Lebrone, Melanie and Ethan Mosie.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Friday from Selover Funeral Home followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service and military honors at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
