Domenico Salerno died Friday, January 8, 2021, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was 94.
Born in Aspra, Italy to the late Matteo Salerno and Maria Margherita (Sardegna) Salerno, he came to the United States and lived in North Brunswick for approximately 48 years. He worked for Garlatti Construction in Highland Park for almost 30 years before retiring.
His wife Calogera (Prinzivalli) Salerno died in 2012. Surviving are his son Matthew Salerno and his wife Rosanna; his daughter Maria M. LaPunta; his brother Carmelo Salerno; sister Maria Martorana; three grandchildren – Caroline Salerno and her husband, Max Meroni, Andrew and Jennifer LaPunta; and his great granddaughter Alice Meroni.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at St. Augustine of Canterbury R.C. Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, N.J.
