Our deepest sympathies go out to Tom, Jeanine, Marissa, Stephen, Tommy and all Blanquita's other children and grandchildren. She was an amazing woman, doing so much for her family and community in a generation where women were expected to follow behind the men. We are so happy to have gotten a chance to meet her, having heard so much about her from Betsy Garlatti. Truly, her love and generosity are not gone, but passed on through her children and grandchildren!. Rest in peace, Blanquita! And may the Holy Spirit, through your intervention, provide comfort to all your loved ones. ~ Rose and Isaac Peng

My fondest memory of Blanquita dates back to her wedding day. I am the 3 year old flower girl in her wedding pictures and always remember and cherish that day. From my perspective, she was the beautiful princess, getting married to her handsome prince. Thereon forward whenever and wherever she saw me, she would always joyfully open her arms and exclaimed the words "My flower girl!!", preceding a warm, loving hug and happy laughter by all. Because, of course, this happened well into my adulthood including the last time I saw her when I was already living in NYC as an advertising professional. That was some time ago and I regret not having spent more time with her in my life. She was a loving mother to her children and an inspirational woman who found the way to give back to her community, an accomplished woman who made us all proud. She had the Bird chip for achievement and always strove to be the best version of herself. Rest In Peace, dear Blanquita. And to my Valenti cousins Carl, Terry, Tommy, Mary, Rosemary and Anthony Bird, my heartfelt condolences for your loss and a big hug. She will always be remembered. Love, Jackie.

I had Spanish with Mrs Valenti from
1981-83 at JFK. High school. I loved her she was a great teacher and I can speak and write Spanish because of her. She was an amazing woman. May she Rest In Peace and her family will be in my prayers.

The 3 Sanchidrian cousins. Milagros, Blanquita and Liana. Titi Blanquita and my mom were like sisters. We saw each other every summer in PR and then again in New Brunswick. We will miss you a lot Titi Blanqui. You were a second mother to us. Rest in peace. You did a marvelous job done here on earth. Guide us and keep us from above. Always in our hearts and mind.
