Obituary of Francis L. Wolff
Francis L. Wolff died Monday, August 16, 2021, at Regency Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. He was 88.
Born in Edison to the late Louis and Mildred (Belloff) Wolff, he lived in New Brunswick before returning to Edison in 1959. He owned and operated Frank's Barber Shop in New Brunswick for many years then worked in the maintenance department of the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home in Menlo Park for over 20 years before retiring in 2000.
Mr. Wolff was a communicant of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in New Brunswick, now part of the Parish of the Visitation. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
His wife of 59 years Alberta J. (Bongiovanni) Wolff died in 2015. Surviving are two sons – Francis J. Wolff of Edison and Peter Wolff and his wife Judy of Middletown, Delaware; his daughter Amelia DeAraujo and her husband Paul of Edison; five grandchildren – Elizabeth and Paul (Amanda) Wolff and Isaac, Ben and Rachel DeAraujo; a great grandson Lucas Migacz; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:45 AM Thursday from Selover Funeral Home followed by an 11:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church at the corner of Remsen Avenue and Sandford Street in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
