As I sit here listening to the 9/11 names being read and how that was such a tragic day for so many families, my wife Susan tells me that Mike "Ziggy" died. Our country and especially those of us who were part of 9/11 already have truly saddened hearts and the news of Mike's passing made the day extremely somber. Our condolences and prayers go out to his wife Grace and their entire family. We knew Mike from Wall Street and he was a true gentleman. He would do anything for anyone and always volunteered to help out no matter what we were planning. He taught me so much about the inner workings of the Depository Trust Company (DTC) where he worked for so many years. He represented DTC for many years on the Data Management Division of Wall Street aka the DMD. At the DMD we were all brothers in business regardless of what company you worked for. We would do anything for each other, and Mike was always at the head of the line. If I was planning the annual Holiday party Mike was there to give some suggestions to make it that much better. When we got to the party, Mike was the first one to "motivate" everyone to get the party started and have a great time. When Mike retired from the "Street" he moved to Somerset, NJ. What a coincidence, he now lived 5 minutes from me. We truly enjoyed the times we met for lunch or just talked on the phone. Mike, we will truly miss you, and we were so happy to have met you and honored to call you a friend. The attached picture represents the last time we had dinner in Brooklyn with Mike and Grace and other great industry friends. I invite the rest of the family and friends to be happy to have known Mike and celebrate his life! We all know he would not want us to be sad today. Rest in Peace until we all meet again and plan the next party!!! Susan & John Panchery
