As Rutgers MHA students, we were all very fortunate to have Professor Jones as a professor/leader at Bloustein. Professor Jones challenged us, made us laugh, and he delivered an exceptional educational foundation for us all in healthcare administration. He will be truly missed. With heartfelt sympathies, my condolences to Professor Jones’s family and friends.

Dear Barbara and family,
How saddened I was to learn of Steve's death. My heart goes out to you all, and lots of prayers and good thoughts and memories are on the way north from Alexandria, VA.
Steve was simply the best, and it was pure joy to work with him at RWJUH. My fondest memory is from 1993 when we conducted an employee campaign to support the development of the CORE Pavilion. We presented a challenge to the employees and offered prizes for the employee who could raise the most money from his/her colleagues. The top prize was dinner for eight at my home, prepared and served by senior management. The winner was a lovely gentleman from the Engineering Department(which Steve oversaw) who invited the other guests. Steve was the grillmaster, and he created a delectable whole beef tenderloin. It was spectacular.
Steve was always my "go to" person when I needed information about the Hospital in order to cultivate donors. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge and made my job as Executive Director of the RWJUH Foundation just that much easier.
I will miss him tremendously. Deepest sympathy to you all.

With a sad and a heavy heart I write this message. Mr. Stephen Jones was one of my favorite Professors during my MHA program at the E. J. Bloustein school, Rutgers University. He was very pleasant and always interested in my overall wellbeing. In fact, when I did my Practicum presentation, he promised to be there and he was. He spoke very kindly and supportively to me after my presentation. We maintained contact through social media and just few months ago, he asked me to update him about my career path. I will definitely miss Mr. Jones. I pray that the Lord will comfort you all.

He made a long lasting impact in my graduate experience and will be truly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this difficult time.

I was fortunate to have Professor Jones teach several of my courses during my MHA at Rutgers. He always called us by our last names. I’m incredibly sad to hear of his passing. He contributed so much to my growth in the graduate program both as a student and as a fellow veteran. I will truly miss him. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest easy, professor.

When I first became a board member on the RWJUH Foundation board, I was lucky enough to have been given a tour of the hospital by Steve Jones. I was very impressed by the respect and acknowledgement that everyone that we passed in the hallway gave to Steve. What was more impressive was the respect and acknowledgement that Steve gave to each of them. Steve was an incredible leader, mentor and human being. God Bless you sir! And God Bless Barbara and your entire family. I was fortunate to have known you.

My first memory of Mr. Jones was during my onboarding, Mr. Jones knew my name and I felt like I was the most important person in the room. He had a way of making you feel special, he had GODs heart. He made you want to do better, be a better person. Mr. Jones God has called you home to receive your crown, you will surly be missed, but never forgotten, your unselfish deeds have earned you, your wings.
