Edward L. Jensen died Monday, December 27, 2021, at his home in East Brunswick. He was 97.
Born in East Brunswick to the late Hans J. and Marie (Karleby) Jensen, he was a lifelong East Brunswick Township resident. He was a production supervisor for American Hospital Supply in Edison for 13 years before his retirement in 1985. Prior to that he worked for Pepsi Cola in North Brunswick for 20 years.
Mr. Jensen was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in New Brunswick.
He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Yankee Division 26th Infantry, Massachusetts and the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge.
His wife Mary Evelyn (Dunn) Jensen died in 2007. He was also predeceased by his son Hans Jensen in 1989. Surviving are his daughter Catherine Molski and her husband Matt of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania; his son Edward Jensen and his wife Jill of Somerset; two grandsons – Matthew Jakob Molski and his wife Jenn and Paul Edward Jensen; and his great granddaughter – Leona Marie Molski.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Selover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
