John F. Kolias posted a condolence

Just a few thoughts about my dear Sister-In-Law that I've known for about 60 years.
A women who loved her family dearly as well as her devotion to God and the church for which she gave so freely of her time and energy. The sad and sudden departure from this life was a shock to the entire Kolias family. Very sad and sudden. She is at a better place now. May her memory be eternal.

Koumbara mou, thanks for all the memories and being there for me in all the special times of my life! You will be missed forever. The world is a sadder place without you in it. And we are forever blessed having had you and George in our lives.

Even though it was only one dinner out with family & Georgia and George, it was a memory that my sister & I fondly reminesce about, still. A light has gone out amongst her family & friends, but she will always shine bright in our hearts and memories. Carol & Tom Salva

We met George & Georgia in 1983 and were best friends ever since. They were also like our big brother and sister and were our confidants. In 2010, Georgia became my Nona, so we then had a spiritual bond, too. We were in contact for over 38 years. Her faith in God and love of St. George was an inspiration. We will miss her dearly, but we know she's resting in God's arms and her soul is at peace. At 9pm on Sunday night, 1/2/22, I called her and the nurse put the phone up to her ear. We prayed together and in her softest voice she was able to say "bye bye" to me. We loved both of them so much. May their memory be eternal. Beth and Jimmy Solomos

Georgia has been a good friend from our teen years, when she came to the states from Greece over 60 years ago.
We always enjoyed each other’s company. We felt the same way with practically all aspects of life. While raising our
families, we lost close touch. However, we never lost that bond that we had developed. After her husband George, the love of her life passed, we reconnected. I had lost my husband sixteen years prior. That was over five and a half years ago. We started to meet for lunch every month. She loved cooking a great Greek meal that we both liked. The following month I would take her out, because I didn’t like to cook anymore. After lunch we’d go back to her house for coffee or tea and something sweet. We would talk about everything; religion, children, politics, and life. It was an always a wonderful afternoon with lots of laughs. I miss Georgia already. She’ll always be in my heart. ❤️❤️❤️
The pictures are of Georgia’s wedding. I am in the background in both of them. It was a very happy day; good memories, great friends & good times!
