Obituary of Anna J. Gonch

Anna J. (DiMaio) Gonch died Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her home in North Brunswick. She was 89.
Born in Highland Park to the late Carmello and Aurelia (Sembiante) DiMaio, she lived in New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick 65 years ago. She attended the New Jersey School for the Deaf in Trenton and then worked for Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick and the Boy Scouts of America in North Brunswick before becoming a mail packaging clerk at Personal Products in Milltown where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 1994.
Mrs. Gonch was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in Milltown. She was a member of the Diverse Deaf Club of New Jersey.
Her husband of 60 years, Edmund P. Gonch, died in 2017. She was also predeceased by two brothers – Joseph DiMaio and Anthony DiMaio. Surviving are three daughters – Karen Ann Capone and her husband Peter of North Brunswick, Elizabeth Doucas and her husband William of Sarasota, Florida and Suzanne Goggin of North Brunswick; her sister Christina Sherwood of New Brunswick; six grandchildren – Allison (Capone) Kohl and her husband Harry, Paul Doucas, William Doucas, Gabriella (Doucas) Girard and her husband Nicholas, Matthew Goggin and Eric Goggin; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Monday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Milltown. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 233 North Main Street, Milltown, NJ 08850.
