I have so many fond memories of spending time with Barbara; mostly from the years when my family attended St. Paul's Church in North Babylon, NY. She was always kind, encouraging, and welcoming. As a shy young man, she put me at ease especially when we 1st began attending Sunday Services and I didn't know anyone. In later years, after she and Jerry moved the family to N. Brunswick, NJ my family visited the Vermilyea home on a number of occasions. Barbara made lovely meals for us and we had the opportunity to catch up on the latest personal & family news. She was a special person to us. We will miss her greatly. Sending our love & sympathies to Jerry on the loss of his wife, and to Joanne, Laura and Deb on the loss of their mother. ~Frank & Donna Pomata
