Colleen has brought nothing but joy, love, and happiness into my life in all of the years I've known her. Seriously, any time I saw her or even just knew I was going to see her, it never failed, I would instantly be in a good mood. She had that kind of affect without even trying. Between music festivals or just hanging out in someone's backyard, she always knew how to bring a smile or a laugh to my face. She was so silly and so extremely kind. I would get so excited going to Colonial Diner, just knowing I'd see that contagious smile or that she'd slid right into my booth for a quick hug and hello. I miss her genuine soul already and this world will be less bright without her. RIP Colleen. I will cherish our friendship and memories for life. Sending my deepest condolences to her family. I can't imagine the heart break.

I met Colleen a long time ago amidst music and friendship. It was a warm bright summer day and although a stranger to her at first, I was welcomed with that bubbly smile and cosmic mannerisms that eventually, like many of us I fell in love with. The grey wisps in her hair, her red tattoo of flowers on her arm, her freckles, she just had such charisma. Colleen WAS the art. A signature. I remember talking and laughing with her for hours as the sun came up. She was such a character, so unique and just…it. I’ve never met anyone like her, and never will. Times when I knew I would see her would make my whole day better. I’ve honestly never laughed harder or had more fun with ANYONE. The way she styled herself in earthy tones, leather boots, festive pins, flannels it didn’t matter. She was always a work of art in my eyes. She was well rounded in music in art in everything. She was perfect. But out of all these traits she embodied her kindness shone the brightest. Never judging never mean ALWAYS kind, she would humble me constantly. I learned so much from her everytime. She was just so…cool. That was Colleen… my favorite person in the entire world. I will miss you forever…tata (~);}

Q: How did you meet Colleen?
A: Colleen and I first met in 2012 at a music festival through my then boyfriend with whom she was friends. We had many fun times and lots of giggles at festivals, concerts and just hanging out with other friends. She once spent a weekend at my apartment and I cooked dinner and she washed all the dishes when I didn’t ask her to and I found it so sweet. She was a kind hearted person. After my boyfriend and I broke up, we didn’t stay in touch but I’m happy for the times I was able to share with her. (Not me in the second photo. I took these photos.)

Russell and Mae Howard posted a condolence
Saturday, March 4, 2023
My name is Russell Howard. My late wife was an organ donor with the Sharing Network in 2005. I became a volunteer to speak about organ and tissue donation. She saved 3 lives, gave sight to 2, skin grafts to a burn victim and mastectomy reconstruction. Bone neck tissue 2 two others two years later which changed their lives to be pain free. Through the Sharing Network I met my wife Mae, while volunteering together. She is a heart transplant recipient over 20 years. We spoke for many years about donating. Your daughter is blessed by God and your family are hero’s to those recipients. God bless you for making her wishes come true. We know how tough it is but take solace in your decision that she lives on in others. God bless your family. We share in your story.
