Joan was my older sister. She was a pioneer in her own right. At 18 she left our family home, got a job and moved into her own apartment. This was unheard of in the sixties but Joan “marched to the beat of her own drum” and if she wanted to do something-she did! She was a wonderful sister-growing up she always had your back. I’m glad she’s finally at peace. We’ll all miss her dearly but know she’s free of pain and with her beloved Jim. RIP our dear sister until we meet again!

The first word that comes to my mind when I remember my sister-in-law Joan is Mother. Joan was a wonderful mother to her three children, Shannon, Mike, and Jimmy. Joan was devoted to all three, but her care of Jimmy was something to be admired. Her life was dedicated to his care. The second word that comes to my mind is family. I think of the Miller family and the love they had for each other. Fortunately, I am able to keep in contact with Shannon and Mike on Facebook and pray that Jimmy is in a good place. May the peace of the Lord be always with them and their families.

So sorry for your loss Mike, Shannon and Jimmy. Aunt Joan was a KIND soul. She loved her family immensely. She will be missed. RIP Aunt Joan.
