My condolences to all the family, friends and co-workers of George. I met George thru Mr. Stew Robertson. Saw him at many a St. Joseph HS basketball game, usually with Stew when I was an Administrator. Always treated me with respect. He had a genuine smile for all. All the best to everyone going forward.

Jason,Rob,Jeremy… so sorry to hear about George’s passing. In the revolving door of supervisors at the Somerset Po, he was by far my favorite. I actually looked forward to when he did rte inspections.He checked every basketball hoop to make sure it was the correct height! And as long as you were not constantly trying to tie your shoes , it was always a great day to walk with him. I remember him coming into the ponderosa( when it was still there) one day because there were 8 jeeps parked in front. He came in with a big smile and said “ we should probably put the time clock in here!”. I haven’t seen him in more than 10 years but I still have a vision of him standing with his hands behind his back, rocking back and forth on his heels saying whoa. It was great to be a letter carrier in those days when he was your boss. Again.. so sorry for your loss. I have nothing but great working day memories of George.. Sincerely, Anne Roster
